Bamboo Palm (Real)
Bamboo Palm is found in the forests of Mexico and Central America where it lives in the shade of larger trees. This means it has adapted to lower light and shade conditions in most homes. It is a great choice for the home or office because it generates fresh air and is part of the top of air-purifying plants.
Fastest way to accidentally kill palm plant is by overwatering and/or not providing drainage, so watch out for this common pitfall. Allow the top of the soil to dry out between waterings, and water less often during the winter months.
Low light to shade works for bamboo palm. Never directly place the bamboo palm family under the sun as they will quickly turn yellow or dry up.
Proper drainage to avoid over watering.
Water when the soil is fairly dry. Prior watering, always evaluate; If the soil is dry, water the plant, and if the soil is wet do not over water. Palms are slightly sensitive and over watering can kill them. As long as you water when needed they are great low maintenance plants that do not need much attention.
